No Limits Workshop | Anna Maria Island, Florida

I've followed No Limits Perspective on Instagram for a while, always loving the way they support and celebrate other photographers. So when I saw they were hosting a workshop in Florida—my beach-lovin’ heart nearly jumped out of my chest. I’ve always dreamed of doing a photography workshop, and this one just felt right. Sunshine, sand, and a camera in hand? Say less.

After booking, they messaged me to say I was the only person attending from out of state. Not gonna lie—it made me feel a little special. From the start, they were welcoming, encouraging, and just as excited as I was. It was their very first workshop too, so we were all diving into this together.

Fast-forward to September: I had my flights booked, car reserved, and a cute new suitcase (obviously). The only thing I was nervous about? Leaving my daughter overnight for the first time in her three whole years. At 4am, my husband and daughter dropped me off at the airport—yes, I cried—but once I boarded that plane, the nerves turned into pure excitement.

After a layover in Georgia and a scenic drive from Tampa to Anna Maria Island, I arrived at the cutest Airbnb. Jena and Dani, our hosts, were warm, bubbly, and had the most epic charcuterie spread waiting for us (or as I called it, a “shark-coochie” board). We spent the evening chatting all things photography, sharing laughs, and soaking in that amazing creative energy.

That evening, we got glammed up for beach headshots. It rained a little, but we waited it out and still got to shoot on the beach. Dani and Jena hyped me up and convinced me to throw on a flowy dress so I could live out my full boho beach babe fantasy—and I did!

The next morning, we kicked things off with an adorable couple’s session. They were down for anything—even running through the rain! Typical Florida weather had me stressed, but the locals were right: it passed quickly. After a little break, we wandered down to the beach (only two blocks away!), collected seashells, and hunted for shark teeth. I proudly found one... okay, one of four.

Later that evening, we had our sunset family session—and wow. This beautiful family of four was everything. The beach light was golden, the boys were full of joy, and the whole vibe was effortless. We wrapped it up with them splashing around in the ocean, and it felt like pure magic.

We ended the night with hot tub hangs, drinks, and good laughs back at the Airbnb. It was one of those nights you tuck into your memory for when you need to remember the good in the world.

The final morning came early. Like, before-sunrise early. We headed to the beach for a motherhood session surrounded by massive driftwood trees. The mama-to-be was radiant, and her two girls had the sweetest sister bond that reminded me so much of my own daughter. The light, the love, the calm of the morning—it was such a peaceful way to wrap up the trip.

This weekend was more than just a workshop—it was a full reset. I walked away with inspiration, new friendships, creative confidence, and a full heart.

If you're thinking of attending a photography workshop, do it. Seriously. Not just for your business, but for you. Step outside your comfort zone. Connect with people who get it. It’s worth every second.
